Joan Rivers Still On Life Support, Says Daughter Melissa
“On behalf of my mother and our family, we are extremely grateful for all the love and support we’ve received. At this time she does remain on life support,” it reads. “I know my mother would be overwhelmed by the continued outpouring of kindness and I want to thank everyone for keeping us in their prayers.”
Joan was hospitalized last Thursday after going into cardiac and respiratory arrest during a minor medical procedure to check on chronic problem with her vocal cords. The 81-year-old was then placed under a medically induced coma to evaluate any damage done when the comedienne stopped breathing.
Recent reports suggests that Joan remains on life support as she isn’t able to breathe on her own.
