Kate Hudson has an important message for all her fans, especially young women.

The Wish I Was Here actress recently sat down with UK magazine Red, and denied she had ever had, or will ever have an eating disorder.

Hudson, 45, said, “If there is one thing I will never have, it is an eating disorder. I won’t have girls — even if it is just one or two who care — thinking that. Because it is a serious sickness, not something to plaster on the cover of a magazine. And I am the opposite.”

The fit mother-of-two, who gained 70 pounds when she was pregnant with her son Ryder 10 years ago, wants girls to embrace who they are, inside and out.

“I want girls to love themselves,” the Something Borrowed star stressed. “I want them to feel good about who they are. The thing is, I’m lucky because I was loved [during that first pregnancy ]. But I have seen so many young women who can’t feel good about themselves because they just don’t have that love.”

Hudson, who gave birth to her second son, Bing, in July 2011 is engaged to Bing’s father, musician Matthew Bellamy, but the Almost Famous actress says the couple is in no rush to make it official.

“We are basically married,” she told the mag. “It’s really about when are we going to take the time to plan a wedding.”
