George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin Will Marry ‘In a Couple of Weeks,’ According to George Clooney

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin receive marriage license in London.
Leave it to George Clooney to deliver his own announcements: the handsome one’s upcoming nuptials will take place in two weeks’ time.

Clooney revealed the news during his acceptance speech for a Humanitarian Award at Celebrity Fight Night, which supports the Andrea Bocelli Foundation and The Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center, in Tuscany. Watching nearby: his beautiful fiancée Amal Alamuddin.

“I met my lovely bride-to-be here in Italy, whom I will be marrying, in a couple of weeks, in Venice, of all places,” the 53-year-old actor said inside the Palazzo Vecchio. [via PEOPLE]

Of course, that could mean a number of things: the wedding will take place in two weeks in Venice; the wedding will take place in two weeks somewhere else; he just wanted everyone to know he met the human rights lawyer in Venice and they’ll say “I Do” very soon.

Clooney and Alamuddin, 36, received their marriage license from Chelsea Old Town Hall in London, England last month.
