Hilary Duff: I May Get Back Together With Mike Comrie (But Probably Not With Aaron Carter)
According to the former Lizzie McGuire actress, there’s still a chance that she’ll reconcile with the retired hockey player, whom she split with this January after three years of marriage.
“I mean, if there wasn’t a chance for getting back [together], I think we would’ve filed for divorce,” she said on Australian DJs Kyle and Jackie O’s KIIS 106.5 radio show Tuesday. “We’re not putting any—I talk about this so much, I really don’t want to talk about it anymore—but we are like—I just talked to him this morning! We really care a lot about each other.”
Duff also explained they are “uncoupled, for now” in order to sort themselves out.
“We’re just really laid-back, and we’re like well whatever happens, happens,” she continued. “Once we’re tired of doing this, we’ll either make this choice or make this choice.”
However, there is one ex-lover she’ll probably never reconcile with: Aaron Carter. When Buzzfeed recently asked the “Chasing the Sun” songstress what she thought about Carter’s multiple declarations of love for her, Duff awkwardly replied, “I don’t know how I feel. I mean, that was so long ago, and obviously I’m still married, and I have a baby and we kind of just … don’t know each other.”
According to the statement Duff, 26, released at the time of her separation with Comrie, 33, she insisted that her first priority is to be a good parent to their son, Luca Cruz. In fact, the former couple even took their two-year-old on a family vacation just a month after their split before attending Coachella together.
