Lady Gaga Says Tony Bennett Saved Her Life, Reveals She’s Not Ready for Kids with BF Taylor Kinney

Lady Gaga’s a whole new woman. Six months ago, Gaga was feeling very down about her career. She even had thoughts of giving up her singing career to start a family with boyfriend Taylor Kinney. But, then she met Tony Bennett and everything changed.

Now, Gaga and Bennett are on the cover of Parade and inside the magazine Gaga praises Bennett saying, “I tell Tony every day that he saved my life.” So, is Gaga still thinking about a family with BF Kinney? Or, is she focusing on her music? Read on to find out!

After meeting at a benefit concert, Gaga and Bennett decided to do an album together. That album became Cheek to Cheek, which is being released on Sept. 23. While working together, the two became very close and Gaga credits Bennett for getting her back on her feet. She told Parade, “The other day, Tony said, “I’ve never once in my career not wanted to do this.” It stung. Six months ago I didn’t feel that way. I tell Tony every day that he saved my life.”

Why did Gaga feel like giving up on singing? She revealed, “I’m not going to say any names, but people get irrational when it comes to money—with how they treat you, with what they expect from you. … But if you help an artist, it doesn’t give you the right, once the artist is big, to take advantage of them. … I was so sad. I couldn’t sleep. I felt dead. And then I spent a lot of time with Tony. He wanted nothing but my friendship and my voice.” It seems like this friendship really helped Gaga recover!

So, does Gaga still want to settle down and have a family? Gaga dished, “I thought I did, because I was feeling kind of finished with all of the chaos of my life. But then I started to spend a lot more time with [Tony Bennett], and everything just became simpler, more pure and more perfect. Now I’m going to take a lot more time before I have kids and settle down. I just want to sing.” Well, when she’s ready, those are going to be some pretty babies!
