‘Twilight’ Fan Marries Cardboard Cut-Out of Robert Pattinson

Pattinson hits the red carpet for Breaking Dawn 2 world premiere.
Robert Pattinson is married! Well, not really, but one woman named Lauren Adkins married his cardboard cut-out!

The 25-year-old Twilight-obsessed fan married a cut-out of Robert’s character Edward Cullen. Where did this momentous occasion go down? Las Vegas, of course! The wedding cost Lauren over $3,000!

Lauren talked to the Daily Mirror about the wedding that took place last year. She revealed, “We got hitched in Las Vegas last year and I’m sure we’re happier than most newlyweds.”

If people think she’s crazy, Lauren doesn’t care. She told the DM, “People might think I’m crazy but my flat-pack R-Patz is the closest I’ll get to the real thing and he’s the one for me.”

It turns out, Lauren’s just a hopeless romantic. “For as long as I can remember I’ve been obsessed with romantic fairytale endings,” Lauren says. “When I was a child, I watched the Disney versions of Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs and Cinderella until the tapes wore out.”

Then when Twilight came out, Lauren’s life was changed. Lauren described the experience, saying, “It was different from any love story I’d seen before – after all, the leading character was as likely to suck your blood as open the door for you. I was obsessed. Leading man Edward was quiet and mysterious, yet superhuman and invincible. And so sexy. I tore through the books and I queued outside the cinema when the film was released, desperate for my first glimpse of Edward. And when Robert Pattinson appeared on screen at midnight, he was perfect. I knew that very minute I wanted to marry him.” Wow! Well, when you know, you know, right?

After spotting the cut-out in a record store, Lauren took the cardboard home. She then got the idea of marriage from her friend and began searching for a place to have the wedding. The Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel agreed to do the ceremony and Lauren got the wedding of her dreams!

The two honeymooned in Los Angeles and have been living happily ever after! Congratulations to the happy couple!
