Cara Delevingne Lands First Leading Role as an Actress

The 22-year-old model is becoming a big hit in the movie industry, too, taking on her first leading role as an actress.

Delevingne will play the lead female character in the movie adaptation of Paper Towns.  According to IMDB, Margo Roth Spiegelman, Cara’s character, is described as “magnificently adventurous” and “always an enigma.”

The author of the novel John Green–who also wrote The Fault in Our Stars–confirmed thew news over Twitter early Tuesday morning:

The film’s director Jake Schreier “seconded” Green’s thoughts adding, “It was something special.”

Of course Cara couldn’t hold back her excitement either, responding to the two men: “Thank you so much guys! I am so excited! Ahhhh! X”

Delevingne will star alongside Nat Wolff, who played Isaac in The Fault in Our Stars. According to Variety, “The story follows young neighbors who share the jarring experience of finding the body of a man who committed suicide. The two leads grow apart — until the night he finds her at his bedroom window, dressed like a ninja. She enlists him in a campaign to get revenge on the people who’ve hurt her. The next day, she vanishes and he is left to ponder the ramifications of the evening. Then he begins getting clues and follows them in an attempt to find her.”
