In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, the troubled star says he’s trying to remain positive these days, going as so far to say that he’s still friendly with
the woman he brutally attacked five years ago ex-girlfriend Rihanna and has even ended his feud with Drake.
“Me and her are friends,” Brown says of his former flame, explaining that he believes they’ll be able to collaborate again one day. “We have a great understanding. There [are] no issues. At the end of the day, we’ll do music if the time is right. If she’s working on an album and she wants me on the record, she can call and I’ll get on her record. If I need her on something, it’s vice versa.”
“That friendship, I think, speaks volumes without having to speak,” he continues. “We’ve known each other for almost 10 years — since the same amount of time I’ve been doing music. I don’t think that’s ever going to change … It is what it is. We’re friends.”
Brown and Rihanna’s names made headlines in 2012 when the “Loyal” crooner got into a bar fight with Drake allegedly over the songstress, who also dated Drake in the past. Though Brown at the time blamed Drake for starting the brawl, he has since made up with the Canadian rapper.
“For me, it was just more of a mature thing,” he explains about why he chose to end their feud. “I just felt like it was necessary for us to put all the old bull behind us.”
And it sure seems like the beef is done between the two feuding hip-hop stars: Brown and Drake have been spotted at the recording studio together making nice.
