You Can Almost See Derek Jeter’s Tears in This Gatorade Farewell Commercial

'The Next Chapter'
Derek Jeter announces his retirement.
As the MLB regular season slowly comes to a close, Derek Jeter’s career is also winding down for good.

To help his fans cope with his last remaining days as a New York Yankee, Gatorade has released a brand new commercial, aptly titled “Made in New York.”

Set to Frank Sinatra’s “My Way” (again, fitting), the 90-second spot finds Jeter leaving his fancy ride to the stadium and walking the rest of the way in the Bronx.

He meets fans, hangs out at a bar and mingles with the crowd outside Yankee Stadium before putting on his uniform one last time.

In July, Nike released a similar tribute to Jeter, with some help from Jay Z, Spike Lee, Tiger Woods and other famous faces.

Derek Jeter’s last home game is scheduled for Sept. 25, against the Baltimore Orioles. His last game ever will be played on Sept. 28 against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park.
