Jim Carrey to Host ‘Saturday Night Live’ This Season: Report

Lloyd & Harry Are Back
Here's the first trailer for 'Dumb and Dumber To,' out Nov. 14.
When one is funny and has a movie to promote, one hosts Saturday Night Live.

That’s what Jim Carrey is reportedly set to do this fall.

Several sources have told The Wrap that the 52-year-old funny man will serve as host on an upcoming episode of SNL. While no date has been confirmed, it looks like the episode will be some time in November as Dumb and Dumber To has a Nov. 14 release date.

Carrey, who will reprise his role as Lloyd Christmas opposite Jeff Daniels in the comedy, has hosted SNL twice, including a gig in 2011 (remember his Black Swan bit?).

SNL will kick off its 40th season on Sept. 27 with host Chris Pratt and musical guest Ariana Grande. The new season will also see the return of SNL alum Darrell Hammond, who succeeds the late Don Pardo as announcer.
