Kathy Griffin Reportedly Stepping in for Joan Rivers on ‘Fashion Police’

Of course Joan Rivers had already planned her lavish funeral.
Kathy Griffin is stepping in for her friend Joan Rivers on E!’s Fashion Police, according to the Daily Mail.

It’s been a sad few weeks since Joan passed away on Sept. 4, 2014. Now, as friends and family are starting to get back to work, it turns out E! has made plans for the show in which Joan starred. Reports say that Kathy will fill Joan’s position on the show when it returns in January.

If reports are true, Kathy will join co-hosts Giuliana Rancic, Kelly Osbourne, and George Kotsiopoulos on the show. A source told the DM that Joan’s daughter, Melissa Rivers, will continue as a producer on the show. The source also said, “Kathy has been told if she wants the gig she can have it because Melissa wanted someone who her mother would have approved of. Kathy will probably take the position but they are still working out the deal.”

Both female comedians in the entertainment world, Joan and Kathy were very close. Kathy’s been posting photos of the pair together on her Instagram account over the past few weeks, showing love to her friend.

While no one could ever replace Joan, what do you think about Kathy joining Fashion Police? Sound off in the comments!
