We Want to Believe: Are Katy Perry and Rihanna Plotting to Shade Taylor Swift at the EMAs?
A new report claiming that Perry and Rihanna plan on embarrassing Swift at the 2014 Europe Music Awards is too silly to be taken seriously, but this tea is delicious, and we want to believe.
Speaking to Heat, an unnamed source said that the ongoing feud between Swift and Perry will reach a new apex at the upcoming EMAs:
“She and her friends, including Rihanna, are planning on totally embarrassing [Swift] at the awards in front of the world.”
“They’ve even said they’re just going to talk all the way through her performance and make fun of her dance moves, like Rihanna did to Ariana Grande at the iHeartRadio Awards.”
It’s a rumor not of this reality, but it is so good, nonetheless. And there’s more! “And if [Swift] does try to speak to them and pretend things are OK, they’ll walk in the opposite direction, ruining any plans [Swift] might have to make it look like it’s all fine,” the source continued.
It’s a real-life Mean Girls, which is fitting considering what we already know about the Swift/Perry feud. As a refresher: Swift told Rolling Stone that a song, “Bad Blood,” on her new album is about a fellow female pop star. After some digging, many believe that track refers to Perry. Perry responded with a shady tweet, warning people to beware “the Regina George in sheep’s clothing.”
This is just about the only thing that will make the EMAs worth watching, so thank you, ladies!
