Amanda Bynes Exhibited Bizarre Behavior During Solo Dinner: Report
According to an eyewitness who was dining at the same restaurant as the former Nickelodeon star, the embattled actress was exhibiting the same bizarre behavior she was showing just a year ago before prior to her involuntary psych hold at a medical center while recently dining at Los Angeles International Airport late Thursday night.
The 28-year-old was spotted at eating alone at Gladstone’s restaurant in the terminal before her flight to New York City, where she was photographed touching down this morning. A source told E! News that Bynes was “talking to herself and putting on a ton of makeup” during her 20 minute meal of “a Shirley Temple and coconut shrimp.”
“She was very coherent in the way she spoke to the staff,” the source said. “Amanda said she was heading home to New York because she had an apartment there. She didn’t seem like she was on drugs or anything because she talked very normal. But her mannerisms told a different story. She was really fidgety and really sloppy in the way she ate her food.”
Bynes, who was booked on charges of reckless endangerment and criminal possession of marijuana after allegedly throwing a bong out of a NYC high-rise in 2013, made headlines again this weekend when she was arrested for her second DUI in 29 months. Police report stated that Bynes was under the influence of Adderall during her arrest and seemed “out of it” when officers pulled her car over in Van Nuys, Calif.
She’s the Man star was caught driving recklessly and showed strange behavior on both Twitter and in public. She was admitted to a treatment facility after she started a small fire on a neighbor’s driveway in July 2013. At the time, the actress’ parents, Rick Bynes and Lynn Organ, were granted temporary conservatorship over her matters.
Bynes’ father and mother, whose conservatorship over their daughter ended on Sept. 10, said that they “know nothing” of their daughter’s whereabouts after she took on her own. Recent reports claimed that Bynes moved out of her parents’ home when their conservatorship ended and the former child star swapped her antipsychotic medications for weed.
Amanda is currently on three-years probation stemming from her 2012 DUI and is expected to appear back in court on Oct. 23.
