Teresa Giudice Talks Prison Sentence: ‘Of Course, I Was Shocked’
On Monday morning, Bravo released two clips from the Watch What Happens Live episode, set to air in the evening.
“I was getting so nervous yesterday that I was shaking, my nerves were pulling,” she says on the program. “At one point I couldn’t even move my fingers. They were like stuck, I couldn’t my hands. My nerves were shot. I’ve had sleepless nights. I mean, I was, of course, I was shocked. It was very unexpected. I don’t even know what to say.”
On Oct. 2, the Giudices were sentenced (15 months for Teresa, 41 months for Joe) to federal prison in a deal that will allow one parent to take care of their daughters. Teresa will go first and is expected to begin her sentence on Jan. 5, 2015.

“Time for me to wake up. Like, I do need to read things before I sign them,” she says. “I do need to understand things before I sign them. I’m a trustworthy person and sometimes I think what other people say and I just believe them and I trust them. And I can’t do that anymore.”
The 42-year-old cookbook author also opens up about how her daughter Gia has been handling the legal problems.
