Despite Robin Thicke’s many, many attempts to win back his wife, Paula Patton has filed for divorce. According to TMZ, the Baggage Claim actress cites “irreconcilable differences” in the documents and is seeking joint custody of their four-year-old son, Julian.

Patton, 38, and Thicke, 37, first started dating  in 1993 after meeting at an under-21 nightclub two years prior. The couple married in a private ceremony on June 11, 2005 and announced their separation this February after almost nine years of marriage.

In July, Thicke reportedly put the twosome’s marital home up on the market. Two months later, the “Blurred Lines” crooner revealed that he was addicted to Vicodin and alcohol at one point of his marriage, but sobered up as soon as Patton had left him.

Thicke  was also suspected of being unfaithful to Patton when he was photographed groping a blonde female backstage at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2013. However, neither party has commented on the allegations.
