Kesha Alleges Dr. Luke Sexually and Physically Abused Her, Almost Led to Death

Kesha Talks Rehab
The singer opens up about her struggles.
Kesha has opened up for the first time since her release from rehab about the immense amount of abuse she’s allegedly faced from her longtime producer Dr. Luke, saying she was sexually, physically, verbally and emotionally abused by him for 10 years–a situation that almost led to her death.

The pop star is now filing a lawsuit in an attempt to get out of her contract with the producer who she says was abusive toward her since she first signed on with him at just 18 years old, making repeated sexual advances and even forcing her to use drugs and alcohol.

In one instance, the “Timber”songstress is claiming he forced her to snort something before getting on a plane and during the trip, Luke forced himself on her while she was drugged.

On another occasion, Kesha says he forced her to drink with him then gave her what he described as “sober pills.” The singer says she woke up the following afternoon, naked in the producer’s bed, sore and sick with absolutely no memory of how she got there.

As you may recall Kesha’s mom also claimed that he verbally abused her daughter and became a lead cause for her eating disorder.  Among a wide range of horrible things, Kesha says he once told her, “You are not that pretty.  You are not that talented.  You are just lucky to have me,” while also saying she looked “like a refrigerator.”

Kesha’s lawyer Mark Geragos is speaking out on her defense, telling TMZ, “This lawsuit is a wholehearted effort by Kesha to regain control of her music career and her personal freedom after suffering for ten years as a victim of mental manipulation, emotional abuse and an instance of sexual assault at the hands of Dr. Luke.”

He adds, “The facts presented in our lawsuit paint a picture of a man who is controlling and willing to commit horrible acts of abuse in an attempt to intimidate an impressionable, talented, young female artist into submission for his personal gain. Kesha is focused on moving her life and her career beyond this terrible time.”
