Renee Zellweger Responds: ‘People Don’t Know Me In My 40’s’
“I’m glad folks think I look different! I’m living a different, happy, more fulfilling life, and I’m thrilled that perhaps it shows,” the actress, 45, told People magazine.
She added, “My friends say that I look peaceful. I am healthy. For a long time I wasn’t doing such a good job with that. I took a schedule that is not realistically sustainable and didn’t allow for taking care of myself. Rather than stopping to recalibrate, I kept running until I was depleted and made bad chooses about how to conceal the exhaustion. I was aware of the chaos and finally chose different things.”
Doyle Bramhall II - has helped the actress turn a new leaf, and that is the reason for the actress’ new look (and not plastic surgery, as speculated by fans, plastic surgeons and critics alike).
“People don’t know me in my 40s,”says Zellweger, who recently finished working on “The Whole Truth,” a court drama co-starring Keanu Reeves and James Belushi. Zellweger’s last film was 2010’s “My Own Love Song“.
“People don’t know me [as] healthy for a while,” she added. “Perhaps I look different. Who doesn’t as they get older?! Ha. But I am different. I’m happy.”
Given the pressure and intense abiding scrutiny that exists in Hollywood, we’re glad to hear Renée is happy, healthy, and batting her eyes at the “silly” fodder said by critics yesterday!
