'Avengers' Flashback
On set with 'The Avengers' cast in NYC in 2011.
What’s the point of announcing a trailer when it will probably leak anyway?

That’s exactly what happened Wednesday night when the highly anticipated teaser for Avengers: Age of Ultron made its way to the Internet after Marvel announced plans to debut the clip during next Tuesday’s episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

In response to the leak, Marvel took to Twitter to post this:

And then they released the trailer, officially, which you can watch above. (Do it in 1080p HD – you won’t regret it).

The teaser, which includes the Pinocchio song “I’ve Got No Strings,” gives fans a first look at James Spader as the oh-so-scary villain Ultron. Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson also make their official Avengers debuts as Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, respectively. (Both appeared in cameos during a mid-credits scene in Captain America: The Winter Soldierearlier this year).

Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Hemsworth and company are back too.

Avengers: Age of Ultron opens May 1, 2015.
