Melissa Rivers Suing Medical Center for Joan Rivers Death

Joan's Doctor Fired
Joan Rivers' doctor fired after comedienne's death.
Almost two months after Joan Rivers passed away, her daughter Melissa Rivers is looking for answers.

According to reports, doctors at Yorkville Endoscopy LLC aren’t willing to give Melissa the full story as to what occurred the day of her mother’s death, and after the New York Dept. of Health and Human Services came out with its findings that the facility is “deficient” in surgical services,  she’s decided to sue.

Sources connected to the Rivers family tell TMZ the only way Melissa will really understand what happened on Sept. 4 (the day of Joan’s passing) is by filing a lawsuit and forcing doctors and facility staff to sit down for sworn depositions about why Joan stopped breathing.

Melissa is repotedly frustrated with the process because she’s been trying to find out the root of the problem for several weeks now and continuously gets shut down.  TMZ adds that Joan’s daughter believes both the Dept. of Health and the facility where the comedienne stopped breathing already know the full story.

Joan’s official cause of death was caused by anoxic encephalopathy due to hypoxic arrest — a lack of oxygen to her brain during an endoscopy procedure, which the New York City Medical Examiner officially confirmed on last week.
