‘Fast & Furious 7′ Has Officially Gotten a New Title

Ever since the delightfully titled 2 Fast 2 Furious hit theaters back in 2003, Universal Studios has kept its tongue planted firmly in the cheek of moviegoers with sequels of equal ambiguity.

And now that the countdown has begun ahead of the seventh installments big screen debut, the decision makers have kept tradition alive and released the official name for what has previously been referred to as Fast & Furious 7.

How excited are you for Furious 7?

Announced on the movie’s official Facebook page, it seems that fans won’t have to wait too long before they see some footage from the film. The post, which also revealed the first cast image from the film, confirms that the first trailer for the action flick will hit the web in 7 days.

Fun fact, this will be the first film in the franchise to not feature the word “fast” in its title.

Starring Vin Diesel, Paul WalkerMichelle Rodriguez, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Jason Statham and Kurt Russell, Furious 7 will blast into theaters on April 3, 2015.
