Katherine Heigl: I’m Not Rude, But I’ve “Made Mistakes”

Who, Me?

Katherine Heigl responds (again) to rumors that she’s rude.

At a Facebook Q & A on Saturday for her new show State of Affairs, a “fan” asked Heigl the awkward question if she thinks she’s rude or not.

“I’ve heard rumors that your very rude. What’s your thoughts?” the fan said.

The starlet responded, “Yeah I’ve heard those too…honestly I don’t think I am…nothing makes me more uncomfortable than confrontation or hurting someones feelings and I would never, ever actively do so on purpose.”

The former Grey’s Anatomy star was put on public blast last month by the show’s creator, Shonda Rhimes, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. About her on-set expectations, Rhimes said she has a “no a–holes” policy, and that, about her Scandal cast, “There are no Heigls in this situation…I don’t put up with bulls–t or nasty people. I don’t have time for it.”

Burn.

Heigl, who won an Emmy for her role as Dr. Izzy Stevens in 2007, notably withdrew her name from the 2008 awards consideration because she wasn’t provided with the material “to warrant an Emmy nomination.”

Public feuding aside, the 35-year-old actress went on to say, “Of course, just like any human being I’ve made mistakes and unwittingly or carelessly spoken or acted but I always try to make any wrong right. That doesn’t mean I won’t stand up for myself by drawing boundaries and asking to be treated kindly and respectfully but I don’t do that with any rude or unkind intentions just with the same strength and honesty I think every one of us is entitled to.”
