In the December issue of Vanity FairAngelina Jolie talks about her surprise wedding to longtime partner Brad Pitt, opens up about what it’s like being married to the actor, and admits she’s thinking about a career change.

“It does feel different. It feels nice to be husband and wife,” Angelina, 39, told Vanity Fair (on newsstands November 11th).

Wearing a crisp white shirt and partly revealing her beautiful engagement ring, Jolie looks gorgeous on the cover shot by Mario Testino. The headline, “Perfectly Awesome! Angelina Jolie: Visiting War Zones, Directing an Oscar Contender, and Life as Mrs. Pitt” rings true. When Jolie isn’t starring as a femme fatale, or dedicating her time to helping others as a UN Goodwill Ambassador, she’s being an all-around cool mom to her six children with husband (and former “Sexiest Man Alive”) Pitt.

Jolie married Pitt, 50, in a surprise wedding ceremony in France in August, surrounded by their children, family and friends. Their kids even took part in the wedding vows. “They did not expect us never to fight, but they made us promise to always say, ‘Sorry,’ if we do. So they said, ‘Do you?,’ and we said, ‘We do!'”

An award-winning actress and humanitarian, Angeline Jolie also admitted she is “open” to pursing a career in politics.

She said candidly, “When you work as a humanitarian, you are conscious that politics have to be considered. Because if you really want to make an extreme change, then you have a responsibility. But I honestly don’t know in what role I would be more useful—I am conscious of what I do for a living, and that [could] make it less possible.”

Angelina Jolie: passionate actress, loving mother, and potentially politician to be? Only time will tell!
