Matthew McConaughey is proud of his rom-coms!
Matthew McConaughey celebrated his 45th birthday yesterday, and his sex-symbol status still holds true! Let’s be real, it probably always will. Just look at those abs and that smile.

As the cover star for this week’s issue of People magazine, Matthew acts as a guest writer covering a range of personal topics, such as what his dream job was at age 8.

In People magazine’s latest issue (on newsstands November 7), Matthew wrote, “Since I was 8 years old, the one thing I’ve always known was I wanted to be a father.”

Matthew has three beautiful children with wife and Brazillian model, Camilla Alves.

The Oscar winner also reveals ten life changing moments, such as the death of his father in 1992.

“A boy loses his father, he quickly becomes a man. I was 22. I remember clearly the sobriety I felt in the pain of my father passing. The sorrow refined me, and I never looked at the world the same again.”

Another fun fact Matthew reveals? How trading his truck for a sports car changed him!

“My truck was informal, rugged, social, like me. But this 300ZX [sports car] was my dream car, or so I thought. And as soon as I got it, something changed. I started acting like my car. I became really concerned with my appearance, meticulous, self-conscious.”

We like the thought of you in a truck better anyways, Matthew!
