Watch Jared Leto grab his impressive bulge mid-concert.
The movie won’t hit theaters until August 5, 2016, but it appears Warner Bros. already has its eyes set on Jared Leto to become the next clown prince of crime in the villain team-up Suicide Squad.

Sources close to Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment have confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that Leto is being considered to play The Joker in the flick that’ll team up some of DC’s most dastardly supervillains.

It’s an impressive casting rumor, which would make Leto the first Joker following Heath Ledger‘s Oscar-winning turn as the character in Christopher Nolan‘s The Dark Knight.

The move should also make one wonder if Joker’s appearance will open doors for his special lady love, Harley Quinn, to finally make her big screen debut. It’s been rumored that Cara Delevingne has her eyes set on playing the deranged psychiatrist.

In case you aren’t familiar, the Suicide Squad is a team of reformed and / or incarcerated villains who end up running high-risk missions for the government in exchange for commuted sentences. The current comic lineup of the antihero team, which has changed many times since it’s inception in 1959, includes Harley, Black Manta, Deadshot, Deathstroke and the Joker’s daughter Duela Dent.

Whether Jared is actually attached to the movie or not, Warner Brothers is going to have to get moving if they want to hit the deadline for themselves. Suicide Squad is set to be the first movie on its slate following the highly anticipated and Universe expanding Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
