Watch: Kelly Osbourne Has a Hard Time Talking About Joan Rivers on ‘The Today Show’

Celebs Honor Joan
Stars arrive at Joan Rivers' funeral to pay their respects.
Kelly Osbourne had a very hard time talking about her late friend, Joan Rivers, this morning.

While on The Today Show, Osbourne was asked about how she’s doing after Rivers’ passing. Osbourne responded by saying, “I can’t lie and say that I’m amazing.” Take a look at the video to hear what else Osbourne had to say about Rivers.

Earlier today, we learned that Rivers’ doctors didn’t follow protocol during her surgery. New information is coming in, and Rivers’ friends and family are still grieving her passing.

We’re also learning today how Rivers’ good friend, Osbourne is doing. Osbourne and Rivers were co-hosts on Fashion Police, and it turns out Osbourne is not happy with people asking her about a possible replacement for Rivers on the show.

Responding to a question about how she’s doing, Osbourne explained on The Today Show, “I can’t lie and say that I’m amazing. It’s something, to be honest with you, that I really don’t like talking about because I haven’t been able to mourn and grieve the way that I want to. Because, when I tell you that not one person that I have seen, or walked up to me, or spoken to since the day she past has, the first thing that comes out of their mouth is, ‘Who’s replacing Joan?’ And I actually have started to enter my angry phase, so it’s not been fun.”

Osbourne goes on to say, “She’s my family. But can we please move on so I don’t cry on morning TV?”

In a second interview on The Today Show, with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb, Osbourne talks about Rivers. In the interview she said, “I kind of live my life right now by, ‘What would Joan do?'”

Osbourne goes on to call Rivers, “The grandmother I never had and always wanted.” So sad! You can tell how hard it is for her to talk about Rivers.

Here’s the second interview clip.
