This Is How Julianne Hough Gets Bikini Fit
Covering Shape magazine’s December 2014 in a red two-piece, the Dancing With the Stars judge spills her “hot-boy plan” and reveals how she keeps fit despite the fact that she’s spending most of her time sitting behind the judging table on the ABC competition.
“I like to shock my body by doing different things,” she says, adding that she works out with trainer Astrid McGuire or attends classes at Tracy Anderson’s studio. “When I was on tour, even though I was dancing two hours a night, I felt I needed more, so I started doing dance moves with ankle or wrist weights on.”
And Hough, 26, adds that she’s totally willing to push her body even further when it comes to getting into a role. The Footloose actress tells the publication, “If I’m reading for a part, I’ll transform myself into the character.
She gushes, “I love the whole process and always tell my agents: ‘Put me in the room—I’ll audition for anything.’ That’s my motto.”
