Dumb And Dumber To: Could A Third Movie Already Be In The Works?!

Dumb and Dumber To
Here's the 'Dumb and Dumber To' trailer you waited 20 years to see.
Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels are back and not much has changed 20 years later.

The two actors are making their return together in Dumb and Dumber To, the follow up to the cult classic Dumb and Dumber.  Fans had to wait forever for the Farrelly brothers to make the sequel a reality but it was definitely worth the wait.

The movie picks up right where we left Lloyd and Harry.  They might be a little older but they’re not any smarter, and their antics are exactly the same.

Celebuzz had the chance to speak with Peter and Bobby Farrelly, Jim, Jeff and the rest of the cast at a press conference for the film, to hear what they had to say about returning to the super successful film after 20 years.

The Farrelly brothers have directed and written numerous films including Hall Pass, There’s Something About Mary and Dumb and Dumber.

Making a sequel for any of their films never felt right except for this one.  The brothers said that a second film was always something that felt natural.

“We didn’t ever really want to do a sequel to anything else, but this one was a logical sequel, because they hadn’t grown at all, Peter explained.  “We left them right where we started with them, so why not do it again?”

It didn’t take long for Jim and Jeff to get back into character after the 20 year hiatus.  “Lloyd is apart of me now it’s kind of strange,” Carrey joked.  “I whack the tooth out and I think really selfishly. But also the love between the characters, that’s important.”

Jeff and Jim were both adamant on working with the Farrelly brothers again even if it was not for Dumb and Dumber To.  But the chemistry between the two was too great to not pursue the second film.

“From day one it was right there and every day it was fun,” Jeff explained.  “The first two weeks was just the two of us, we were slamming and it came back right away.”

The second film also added some fresh faces to the mix.  Legendary actress Kathleen Turner and comedian Rob Riggle.  Kathleen, who is know for her dramatic roles, jumped at the chance to be apart of the classic comedy mainly because of it’s message.

“I was rather delighted by the thought, that it would give me an opportunity to say in my own way, ‘no I don’t look like I did thirty years ago.  Get over it!’  That tickled my funny bone,” she revealed.

The question now on everyone’s mind is the the possibility of a third movie.  The Farrelly brothers revealed what their plans for the franchise are.

“This is a little love story between these two guys, I would be curious to see what happens next time,” Bobby explained.  “It also does feel fitting that this would be a trilogy.  I would think that there would be one more.  God willing.”

Be sure to catch Dumb and Dumber To when it hits theaters nation wide Friday, November 14th!
