It’s nearly Thanksgiving, but holiday carols were sung when Jennifer Lawrence visited The Late Show With David Letterman.

They weren’t exactly peaceful and were quite…well, in the spirit of Christmas, you’ll just have to see for yourself!

Yesterday, it was revealed that Jennifer Lawrence sings in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part Ibut she dislikes singing so much that she cried on the first day of filming!

Last night on Letterman, she explained: “I do not like singing in front of other people. It’s like my biggest fear. I cried on set that day and apparently I’m crying all the time. That was awful. I’m like scarred from my childhood because I have a southern mother who would just tell me that I was amazing at everything, that I could do everything. But, I can’t.”

She was at first in disbelief they actually used her voice, saying “Yeah, weirdly! But I don’t know, I put my fingers in my ears, I still haven’t heard it, but everyone’s told me that it’ me…I was like, ‘Will you guys please get like Lorde to really sing it and I’ll lip synch?’ They said, ‘No, it’s really your voice.’  So, I avoid [watching] that scene.”

In the movie, she sings “The Hanging Tree”, which David Letterman tries and fails to get her to sing. Instead, they do a harsh duet of “A Holly Jolly Christmas”.
