Zak Williams on Father Robin’s Death: ‘We’re Doing OK’

Remembering Robin
Celebrities react to Robin Williams' passing.
Zak Williams is opening up for the first time since the tragic death of his father Robin Williams.

On Thursday, Zak spoke to Entertainment Tonight at a fundraising gala for the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation.

“We’re doing OK,” he told ET. “We’re working hard to build our strength and acclimating to the new normal.”

“A large part of what we’re doing through this grieving process is giving and spending time, focusing on others,” Zak, 31, added.

Williams, who left around $50 million in trusts for his three children (Zak, Zelda and Cody), was found dead in his California home in August from a suspected suicide. Earlier this month, it was revealed that the 63-year-old comedian and actor may have suffered from Lewy body dementia, which may have led to his death.

The Hollywood community was quick to provide support for Williams’ family, according to Zak.

“The outpouring was remarkable. People shared their supportive words, art, all sorts of amazing tributes to my father,” he told ET Thursday.
