Pantone’s 2015 Color of the Year is Marsala: See Celebs Rocking the Red Hue!
Pantone has officially granted the 2015 color of the year to the deep reddish-brown “marsala” hue which elicits the refined yet earthy mood we get from wine–hence the name of the new color.
“Much like the fortified wine that gives marsala its name, this tasteful hue embodies the satisfying richness of a fulfilling meal, while it’s grounding red-brown roots emanate a sophisticated, natural earthiness,” Leatrice Eiseman, Pantone Color Institute’s executive director, said via press release. “This hearty, yet stylish tone is universally appealing and translates easily to fashion, beauty, industrial design, home furnishings and interiors.”
