Joan Rivers’ $150 Million Will Includes Family, Friends and Charities

Joan Rivers planned her own lavish funeral.
Joan Rivers will was filed with the Manhattan Surrogate’s Court earlier today, revealing that the late comedienne will spread her estimated $150 million fortunate amongst family, friends, staff and charities.

The court papers say Joan’s only child Melissa Rivers was named executor of the estate (which we previously reported), and since the will is devoid of details, she will be the one to divide the money amongst beneficiaries in the will.

Melissa’s son (Joan’s only grandchild) will inherit an unspecified amount along with Rivers’ niece and nephew.  Other beneficiaries include Joan’s assistants and publicist.

In addition, Rivers left a certain amount for charities, including: Guide Dogs for the Blind in California, the Queens-based food pantry God’s Love We Deliver (where Joan was a board member), the Jewish Guild for the Blind in Manhattan, the Simon Wisenthal Center, The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (where Joan served as a spokeswoman) and the Jewish Home and Hospital Foundation also in Manhattan.

Meanwhile, news just broke last week that Kathy Griffin is officially replacing Joan on Fashion Police.  Melissa, the Executive Producer o the show, said, “Kathy just feels right.”
