Leighton Meester is Probably Shading Kaley Cuoco

Lots of people did not take too kindly to Kaley Cuoco putting down feminism, and it looks like Leighton Meester is one of them.

The former Gossip Girl actress addressed the topic during a recent interview with  B-93.7’s Broadway’s Electric Barnyard, and though Cuoco’s name wasn’t explicitly stated, it definitely popped into our heads with Meester’s response.

When asked whether or not she considers herself a feminist, Adam Brody’s 28-year-old wife took no time to answer, “Yeah, it shouldn’t be some sort of sensational news item,” she said before adding, “It’s something that I think all people should say about themselves.”

However, just a few days prior of Meester’s interview, Cuoco told Redbook she simply can’t label herself as that.

“Things are different now, and I know a lot of the work that paved the way for women happened before I was around,” she told the magazine.  “I was never that feminist girl demanding equality, but maybe that’s because I’ve never really faced inequality.”

After facing backlash from her comments, Cuoco quickly took to social media to clear the air and explain that her quotes were “taken out of context.”
