Widow of Jennifer Aniston’s Ex-Boyfriend Slams Actress: She Wasn’t There When He Was Sick

What was trip down memory lane for Jennifer Aniston has taken an ugly turn.

The Cake actress, who opened up about a dead ex-boyfriend who she considered would’ve been “the one” in a recent New York Times article, is under fire from her former lover’s widow. Mujah Maraini-Melehi, who married Aniston’s ex Daniel McDonald after the two broke things off in 1994, is firing back at the Golden Globes nominee.

In an angry missive, Maraini-Melehi claims that Aniston did not reach out to their family in any way when McDonald was ill. He passed away from brain cancer in 2007.

“I am sorry that Jennifer did not realize the treasure that was Daniel when she had the chance, long before he and I met and long before he died,” Maraini-Melehi writes on her personal Facebook, according to New York Daily News. “It pains me to read the headlines that allude to her losing him tragically when she was not present during his long and difficult illness. That said perhaps Daniel’s gift was to teach her how to love and appreciate Justin Theroux.”

Maraini-Melehi, who had two children with the late actor, also says that Aniston did not respond when she tried to contact her after McDonald’s death.

“After Daniel died, I reached out to her to give her back all the photographs from the time they were together,” Maraini-Melehi adds. “I never got an answer back from her.”

In the aforementioned New York Times article, Aniston reminisced about her relationship with McDonald, telling the publication that he was “the one” had they not parted ways after five years of dating.

“He was my first love — five years we were together,” she said. “He would have been the one. But I was 25, and I was stupid. He must have sent me Justin to make up for it all.”
