Jennifer Aniston Says Supposed Feud With Angelina Jolie Is “Slowly Coming to an End”
In a rare and unprecedented move, the Cake actress has opened up about her alleged rivalry with the woman who married her ex-husband. Speaking with Entertainment Tonight at the Critics’ Choice Awards, where both Aniston and Jolie were present but kept their distance from one another, the 45-year-old says the feuding rumors are getting “tiresome and old.”
“I think that’s slowly coming to an end. I really do,” she says of their alleged feud that spawned when Brad Pitt started dating Jolie after his divorce with Aniston in 2005.
“I mean, that movie s so beautiful and wonderful and she did such a gorgeous job,” Aniston says. “I think that it’s time people stop with that petty BS and just start celebrating great work and stop with the petty kind of silliness.”
“It’s just tiresome and old,” the actress adds of reports that the two are competing against one another. “It’s like an old leather shoe. Let’s buy a new pair of shiny shoes.”
Pitt, 51, then entered into a relationship with Jolie, 39, after meeting on the set of 2005’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Jolie later admitted to Vogue in 2006 that the two fell for each other during the shoot. The couple wed in 2014.
Hey, Aniston and Jolie can bond over their respective Oscar snubs.
