Selena Gomez dedicates heartbreak song to Justin Bieber.
It’s been quite a while since we’ve heard any new music out of Justin Bieber, but it looks like that’s about to change pretty soon–just in time to interrupt Selena Gomez’s new romance.

The 20-year-old singer has been spending a lot of time in the studio over the last year and is finally sharing a sneak peek at what he’s been working on: songs about heartbreak.

He posted the first 15-second clip of a new song on his Instagram.  The lyrics read: “How do our lights become lighter / How do our eyes become brighter / Gotta believe in something higher.”

While it’s unclear what this could be about (believing in God and/or getting high?), the second video clip adds much more clarity.

“When it’s raining it’s pouring / How do I always end up being the enemy / How do I wake up in the morning and you’re not right next to me / How did we throw it all away?” the lyrics read.

It’s very possible Bieber is referring to Selena.  The couple’s very public split resulted in SelGo releasing her own song about their rough relationship, “The Heart Wants What it Wants,” unveiling raw emotions about her heartbreak.

However, Selena has moved on from Bieber for the first time in her life, confirming she’s dating DJ Zedd through a series of pictures and even sharing with her fans that she misses her beau while out of town.

It’s more than coincidental that Bieber decided to drop the teaser for the new song right as his ex is moving on.
