In other words, as far as Katy’s halftime show is concerned, very little is known besides the fact that a glitter bomb and fireworks will probably be going off, and she’ll be sharing the stage with Lenny Kravitz and some other “throwback female”.
Spoiler warning! Today we’ve learned who that “throwback female” is going to be.
“Missy Elliott is going to “Work It” at the Super Bowl with Katy Perry,” they write.
Someone familiar with Sunday’s Super Bowl halftime plans leaked the info to the AP under the condition of anonymity, since Missy Elliott’s involvement hasn’t been announced by the NFL.
Yesterday (Jan. 29, 2015), Katy told reporters at a halftime show press conference, “I wanted to bring someone back that needed more tie shine, a real female fun night. [The guest will be] a bit old school. When you hear the first ring of the chord, I think jaws will drop and faces will melt.”
