It’s that time of the year again when Vanity Fair unveils its annual star-studded Hollywood Issue — and this year’s cover could give Ellen DeGeneresfamous Oscars selfie a run for its money in terms of star power.

For 2015, Oscar nominees rub elbows with the actors and actress who have been snubbed by the Academy in the Annie Leibovitz-shot spread. Reese Witherspoon, who received a nod for Best Actress in a Lead Role for her work in Wild, shares the front of the glossy with Foxcatcher’s Channing Tatum and Big EyesAmy Adams, who were both shut out of the acting categories.

Meanwhile, Academy Award nominees Benedict Cumberbatch, Eddie Redmayne, Felicity Jones round out the extended, three-page cover with Sienna MillerDavid Oyelowo, Miles Teller and Oscar Isaac.

According to Leibovitz, who shot all but three of the publication’s Hollywood Issues since its debut in 1995, this year’s shoot was extremely “hair-rising” in getting up close and personal with the stars.

“Usually you shoot from fairly far away, but we wanted to get really close to the actors,” she said. “We made an effort to create a feeling of intimacy. I pushed into them, shooting to the left and then the right, coming in as tight as I could.”
