Channing Tatum, Reese Witherspoon and More Cover ‘Vanity Fair’ Hollywood Issue
For 2015, Oscar nominees rub elbows with the actors and actress who have been snubbed by the Academy in the Annie Leibovitz-shot spread. Reese Witherspoon, who received a nod for Best Actress in a Lead Role for her work in Wild, shares the front of the glossy with Foxcatcher’s Channing Tatum and Big Eyes’ Amy Adams, who were both shut out of the acting categories.

According to Leibovitz, who shot all but three of the publication’s Hollywood Issues since its debut in 1995, this year’s shoot was extremely “hair-rising” in getting up close and personal with the stars.
“Usually you shoot from fairly far away, but we wanted to get really close to the actors,” she said. “We made an effort to create a feeling of intimacy. I pushed into them, shooting to the left and then the right, coming in as tight as I could.”
