Did Bruce Jenner tell Kris he wanted to become a woman?
Bruce Jenner has broken his silence on the fatal car crash he was involved in on Saturday afternoon (Feb. 7, 2015) in Malibu, CA.

The multi-car pile up was the result of chain-reaction on the Pacific Coast Highway, leaving one person dead and several injured.

Jenner was not texting at the time of the crash, his publicist has also clarified; furthermore, no paparazzi chase was ongoing either. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash and if anyone will be charged with vehicular manslaughter.

Jenner spoke out for the first time since Saturday to E! News:

My heartfelt and deepest sympathies go out to the family and loved ones, and to all of those who were involved or injured in this terrible accident. It is a devastating tragedy and I cannot pretend to imagine what this family is going through at this time. I am praying for them. I will continue to cooperate in every way possible.

Jenner’s Cadillac Escalade rear-ended the Lexus in front of him, causes it to hit the Prius in front of it and spin out of its lane and into oncoming traffic. The driver was killed at the scene, and seven other people were injured.

A law enforcement spokesperson told KNBC that Jenner (as well as the other drivers involved) have been completely cooperative. Jenner passed a field sobriety test after the crash, and investigators are awaiting the results of the blood test. Furthermore, police are seeking a search warrant from all drivers to check their cell phone records.

It was originally speculated that Jenner may have been texting at the moment of the collision due to paparazzi photos that showed him holding something – a cellphone maybe – in his hand. It’s now understood that what Jenner was holding was a cigarette.

His rep clarified to the Associated Press, “The evidence will show that Bruce was not texting at the time of the accident.”

The 65-year-old former Olympian and reality TV star was uninjured in the crash. The tragedy is happening in the midst of much media speculation and rumors that Jenner is going to transition to a woman, and release a docu-series about his journey. Though Jenner has not yet personally confirmed, or denied, those reports, several close family sources (including Jenner’s mother) have spoken out and confirmed that he is indeed transitioning.
