Tyga Sets the Record Straight About His Relationship With Kylie Jenner, Says He’s Not Dating Her
Rose said on The Breakfast Club on Friday (Feb. 13, 2015) that Kylie, 17, is a “baby” and too young for Tyga, 25, and that he should be “ashamed” of himself because “he has a beautiful woman, and a baby, and left that for a 16-year-old that just turned 17″ (referring to his ex, Blac Chyna).
When asked, “You smashing her now or red shirting it until you turn 18?” Tyga told the radio station after clearing his throat, “No, I’m not dating Kylie. I’m not dating her, so I just want to get that out of the way. I want to be clear to everybody that I didn’t leave my family to be with Kylie. That’s ridiculous.”
Tyga and Chyna were engaged but split in August 2014. He and Jenner began hanging out constantly around that same time, not hiding their friendship on social media.
About his relationship with his ex, he added, “I feel like me and Chyna, we broke up almost close to a year now because of a decision we made, and things in our relationship that wasn’t going right. So we decided to split to raise a mostly stable kid. That’s what we did. Not we have a great relationship.”
He reiterates, “I didn’t leave nobody to be with anybody.”
On how Blac Chyna must perceive his very public platonic relationship with the youngest Jenner, Tyga commented, “It’s because what people make it seem…I’ve been friends with them before I even met Chyna. I was friends with Scott [Disick], her family for years, so me hanging out with them, it wasn’t nothing new. But now, people just wanna make a story out of it…It’s crazy, the sh*t that they make up is like the craziest thing I have ever.”
Alleging that it’s a cultural thing, Tyga added, “You know, in black culture, it’s different. You hang around somebody, you smashing them. But, like, white people, white culture’s different. I mean like they really, are um, friends, you know?…We think it’s a little different, our mentality, you know so for me, if I’m like ‘I’m friends with her, and I’m friends with her sister’, ‘they hoes’, or ‘we smashing them’. And it’s like we really friends. I respect her mom, I know her whole family.”
He then brushed these kinds of rumors (for example, that they’re dating, that he flew her to Europe where it’s not illegal for them to be together, that she has a room in his house) off as being the downside of being an “entertainer”, and spoke about those Halloween photos in which they went as Chucky and Bride of Chucky, calling it “cool”.
“It’s not like I’m out here holding hands with her and kissing. I’m not doing anything disrespectful, I’m raising my son. I see my son every day. He’s with me every day if he’s not with Chyna or if we’re not spending time together.”
As far as what the future may hold, Tyga added, “If she [Blac Chyna] was dating someone else, it’s on her to dictate her life, just as it’s on me to dictate my life. And if I decide in the future that I want to be with Kylie or if I decide in the future that I want to be with her again, or be with somebody else, I’ma dictate my life.”
Kylie is “Just a good person,” he says. “You ever meet somebody and you feel like, her energy is just good. It’s like, not negative. It’s like, we’re not talking about what’s on like media takeout today and what’s negative. She’s just a good person. She just comes from a good upbringing. I never met somebody like that, her and her family, how they deal with all the bullshit they deal with. She’s cool,” he shrugged.
Yesterday, sis Khloe Kardashian took to Twitter to also call out Amber Rose for dissing Kylie and the family. So looks like Amber has stirred the pot in more ways than one now that Tyga is coming clean.
