WATCH: Lady Gaga Performs a Stunning Tribute to ‘The Sound of Music’ at the 2015 Oscars

Ladies and gentlemen: the incomparable Lady Gaga!

Last night (Feb. 22) at the 87th annual Academy Awards, Gaga took the stage to provide a jaw-dropping medley of songs from The Sound of Music, which this year celebrates its 50th anniversary.

After performing her medley, Gaga introduced Julie Andrews, the star of the movie, who came out and hugged Gaga and proclaimed, “That tribute, it really warmed my heart. It really did.”

It was a big night for Gaga, who made our Best Dressed list after hitting the red carpet in a custom Azzadine Alaïa gown and meme-worthy red gloves. The audience jumped to their feet after her performance, and many celebrities took to Twitter to praise her moment.

Later, Gaga hit up the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in a sleek black gown.

And that, dear friends, is how you win the Oscars, even when you’re not a nominee.
