‘Star Trek’ Actor Leonard Nimoy Dead at 83
The actor, who played Spock in the original sci-fi series, passed away in his Bel Air, Calif. home early Friday morning. He was 83.
Previously, Nimoy announced that he was suffering from end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease due to years of smoking, a habit he had given up three decades ago.
Just days before his death, Nimoy was hospitalized after suffering from severe chest pains, but the exact cause of his most recent pain was still unknown at the time.
