Aaron Carter Just Totally Subtweeted Hilary Duff
The former child star, who attempted to rekindle his romance with Duff by publicly declaring his love for her almost a decade after their split, is on the defense after the “Chasing the Sun” singer told Cosmopolitan that it was “ridiculous” for Carter to put her on the spot like that.
In a recent tweet that purposefully didn’t include Duff’s handle, Carter aired his grievances about his ex, hinting that she should perhaps stop talking about him altogether. All in all, it made for one juicy subtweet.
Since Carter’s declaration of love last March, Duff often voiced her discomfort to the press about the whole situation, saying, “I don’t know how I feel. I mean, that was so long ago, and obviously I’m still married, and I have a baby and we kind of just … don’t know each other.”
Carter later admitted that he needed to “shut up” about his former girlfriend and move on as he was “not trying to be that dude.”
Duff and Carter, both 27, briefly dated in the early 2000s. They broke up after Carter allegedly cheated on Duff with actress Lindsay Lohan.
