Johnny Depp is flying back to the United States after hurting his hand in Australia during the filming of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

Sporting a cast on his right hand, the actor was seen boarding a private plane in Brisbane after reports surfaced that the 51-year-old is to be receiving surgery for his recent injury.

An insider told The Wrap that Depp was not hurt on set, though production will be “minimally impacted” as he seeks treatment. A rep for Disney said that the release date for the next Pirates of the Caribbean installment — July 7, 2017 — remains as such.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tale is the fifth movie in the blockbuster franchise. Shooting began last month and is scheduled to wrap this summer.
