Rihanna Becomes First Black Woman to Become Dior Girl
This would make the songstress the first black woman to represent the iconic brand. The rumors came shortly after a music director accidentally leaked the information on Facebook ahead of Rihanna or the brand’s publicity team.
As with the previous three films in the series, the campaign was shot in Versaille’s Chateau and grand manicured gardens.
But while Inez and Vinoodh have traditionally directed the campaigns, with music by Depeche Mode, Dior have confirmed that it was Steven Klein behind the camera for Rihanna’s star turn, shot just this week.
Due this spring, the campaign will include print ads as well as the video.
