WATCH: Michelle Obama and Ellen Degeneres Break It Down to ‘Uptown Funk’, and It’s Amazing

In case you didn’t know, now you know: Michelle Obama is a queen on the dance floor.

While her husband, President Barack Obama, was reading mean tweets on Jimmy Kimmel, the First Lady of the United States and Ellen Degeneres did a little dance to Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ hit jam “Uptown Funk,” proving that you can groove, inspire others to move (and be healthy!), and look flawless at the same time.

The ever-stylish First Lady, appearing on the show for the fourth time, spoke to Degeneres about her #GimmeFive challenge on the fifth anniversary of her “Let’s Move!” initiative, saying,

In honor of the fifth anniversary I’ve issued this challenge. We’re calling it #GimmeFive and we’re using the hashtag #GimmeFive on social media. We’re asking folks all across the country to #GimmeFive ways their leading a healthy life. We’ve got a lot of celebrities involved. Beyoncé gave me five, and Ryan Seacrest and Nick Jonas and even the astronauts on the space shuttle; the International Space Shuttle got involved. And we’re gonna take over the Easter Egg Roll this year with a #GimmeFive dance and actually the “So You Think You Can Dance “ All Stars are coming to the Easter Egg Roll to teach the whole south lawn this dance. And I have actually challenged this woman right here to learn the #GimmeFive dance.

Degeneres and Obama candidly wondered, between the two of them, who the better dancer was (in the same vein that they wondered who won the push-up contest last time Obama was on the show).

Degeneres proclaimed she was “more of a free style. Kind of street dancer” and a very busy woman with not too much time to practice, while Obama was steadfast in putting Degeneres up to the dance challenge.

The host added, “The thing is your people said you’ve been practicing for a year so,” to Obama’s surprise, who replied, “My people. You think I have people.”

Their back and forth on their past push-up contest and such is delightfully witty and sure to give you a good laugh. Not to mention their dance sequence is truly fun.

On this TGIF, take a page out of Michelle Obama and Ellen Degeneres’ book, learn the choreography and groove to “Uptown Funk” sometime before the weekend is over.
