Michelle Obama Reveals Post-White House Plans on ‘Ellen’
Believe it or not, life at the White House is not as fancy as you’d think.
On Monday’s Ellen, First Lady Michelle Obama admits the thing she’s looking forward to the most when she’s not living at the White House is just plain fresh air.
“You know, the one thing people don’t realize is we can’t do little things like open windows… I mean I look forward to getting in a car and rolling down the window and just letting the air hit my face,” she tells Ellen DeGeneres.
“I mean I haven’t been in a car with the windows open in about seven years if you can imagine that. So I’m gonna spend that first year just hanging out the window.”
FLOTUS, who also busts a move on the show, added that the White House windows don’t even open. Just like Scandal, only the balcony is available as a mini sanctuary of outside air.
“There is the balcony, yeah, that’s real,” she says. “We go on the balcony, but that’s really the only door we can open to the outside.”
