Besides Amanda Seyfried’s amazing braid, all eyes were on the cast of A24’s While We’re Young on Monday at the film’s New York premiere at the Paris Theatre. Also taking center stage: a red carpet discussion on aging anti-aging myths, and what it means to be hip and cool.

The new Noah Baumbach film is about a couple in their 40s (Ben Stiller and Naomi Watts) who befriends a couple in their 20s (Seyfried and Adam Driver). Fedoras and bicycles are purchased, hip-hop classes are taken, and some youth is recaptured. We think.

“I’ve tried the cucumber thing,” Dree Hemingway tells Celebuzz of the anti-aging methods she’s used. The 27-year-old model and actress has a small role in the film, playing Seyfried and Driver’s roommate.

“I’ve tried dousing myself in Greek yogurt… there’s some weird things that have happened. I remember I got really sunburnt once and I put lots of black teabags all over me. Even the juicing thing can be a myth at some point, right?”

For Seyfried, who donned a gorgeous red Valentino frock for the event, says she hasn’t had anything bizarre thrown her way.

“Nothing ridiculous. Yet. I have a really good skincare line that I represent, that I work with,” she tells us. “It’s Japanese products so it’s pretty ace.”

The 29-year-old actress also told reporters about her favorite hip celebrity (“Taylor Swift’s pretty hip. She seems like a pretty honest lady”) and revealed what freaks her out the most about young people (“They spend the entire day on Instagram”).

Following the screening, guests headed to Lexington Brass in Manhattan for the after party, where they sipped on Dark Horse wine.

While We’re Young opens Friday. Launch the gallery, above, for more photos from the premiere.
