Hillary Clinton Announces She’s Running for President, Celebs Show Their Support

Hillary Clinton officially announced she is running for President today (April 12, 2015).

President Barack Obama’s Secretary of State during his first term, former New York senator and former First Lady, Clinton is the first Democrat to announce her bid for the Presidency.

She announced her campaign via Youtube (see the video above) in a video entitled “Getting Started,” and on Twitter, writing:

Two Republican candidates have already announced: Ted Cruz and Rand Paul. The 67-year-old would (finally!) be the first woman President in history, if she wins the election. She previously ran for president in 2008 but lost the Democratic nomination to Obama.

She’s about to hit the road to start campaigning before the general presidential election, which will be held on Nov. 8, 2016. Several celebs have already taken to Twitter to show their support for Clinton:
