If You Want a Hot Body Like Kate Upton, Here’s What You Should Eat
In an interview with the London Evening Standard, the 22-year-old model admits that she really has to stay disciplined and use portion control to maintain her figure.
“For me it’s about being strong, having the strength to work ten-hour days, and eating healthily,” Upton tells the publication.
So what exactly does that look like? Here’s an example of her eating schedule on a “good day,” as she puts it:
- Breakfast, 7 AM:Scrambled eggs (one white, one whole) with spinach and green tea.
- Snack, 10 AM:10 raw almonds and a green juice.
- Lunch:Quinoa with herb-crusted grilled chicken and grilled vegetables.
- Snack, 4PM:Protein bar.
- Dinner, 7PM: Sashimi or a kale salad with grilled salmon and cashews.
She also adds, if she has a big shoot or film scene coming up, she’ll do a 48-hour juice cleanse ahead of time. But don’t get her wrong… She still enjoys cheating a little, especially when it comes to Tequila Tuesday or “fried salty food.”
Despite her positive outlook and her bangin’ body that men everywhere adore, Upton admits she’s still body-shy.
“I always am!” she reveals. “Well, I am and I’m not at the same time. Every person has insecurities. But this is the body I was given, I appreciate it and I try to take care of it every day as best I can, but I always enjoy my life. So I’m not going to let my insecurities stop me from enjoying life.”
And that’s something Upton hopes resonates with young girls as the poster woman for the “strong not skinny” movement. “I’m happy to be seen as a good example. If I can help girls who are going through body-image issues, I think that’s amazing.”
