Kris Jenner Apparently Thought Bruce Just Had a ‘Quirk,’ She Could ‘Fix Him’

Last Friday, Bruce Jenner bared his soul to Diane Sawyer and announced that, after a lifetime of struggling with his gender, he identifies as a woman. His admission was met with great support, but many people are still wondering what his ex-wife, Kris Jenner, thought about everything. Apparently, she didn’t think much of it.

According to People, multiple sources claim Kris knew Bruce was struggling with something, though apparently she was not fully aware of what, exactly, he was going through.

“[Kris] never knew Bruce wanted to be a woman,” a source told People. “She thought Bruce had a little quirk and he asked her to keep it a secret, so she did.”

“She knew that he struggled with gender identity. She knew he had been on hormones and that his body had changed,” the source continued. During his interview with Sawyer, Bruce said, at the time of meeting Kris, he had 36B breasts as a result of five years of hormone therapy but that, ultimately, he downplayed his desire to fully transition.

The People source also added: “Before Kris and Bruce got married, Kris assured his ex-wives that she knew about ‘the issue.'” She wanted them to know that she thought it was just a phase and that she could ‘fix’ him.”

Many people have questioned Kris’ response — or lack thereof — to the news. She did not give a statement to ABC for inclusion in the interview. In a tweet directed at Perez Hilton, she claims she was not asked for a statement:

However, ABC claims they made several attempts to procure a comment from her. Kris has not responded to those claims, but she did sent out a tweet in support of Bruce shortly after his interview ended:
